Experience the difference with Teledyne Hanson’s cutting-edge instruments.
Hanson Research stands as a pioneering force in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in the design and manufacturing of dissolution testing and diffusion testing instruments. Established in 1951 by Dr. William A. (“Bill”) Hanson, the company has a rich history of innovation and contributions to pharmaceutical research and development.
In 1969, Hanson Research achieved a milestone by introducing the world’s first six-vessel dissolution testers, setting a new standard for precision and reliability in pharmaceutical laboratories. Dr. Hanson’s dedication to advancing pharmaceutical testing led to the creation of the Dissograph in 1975, marking the advent of the first fully automated dissolution testing system.
The diffusion-testing line at Hanson Research focuses on transdermal drug formulations, with the innovative vertical diffusion cell, a modified Franz cell, leading the way. This pioneering technology became an integral part of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) as “Apparatus A.” Hanson’s commitment to excellence continued with the release of the Microette™ automated diffusion testing system in 2000, followed by an advanced design in 2014.
