The Flodex system offers a straightforward method to determine the flowability index of powdered substances, ranging from 4 to 40 on a designated scale. Utilizing an intrinsic flowability approach, the Flodex assesses a powder’s ability to descend freely through a disk’s orifice. Equipped with 19 disks featuring various orifice sizes (ranging from 4 mm to 34 mm), the system ensures versatility in testing different powder types. Notably, for pharmaceutical manufacturing applications, the Flodex adheres to USP <1174> Powder Flow standards.
